This category of membership is for the individual or business that wishes to participate in greater depth in society projects or has specific areas of animal interests they want to see brought along. Those members with pet partner memberships are encouraged to attend the Directors meetings and choose their path of humane animal activity.

Being a Pet Partner can take on almost any form. It might be a business or an organization that wanted to go the extra mile in supporting us financially. It might also be one that we could always turn to for special support (for example, sponsors for the golf tournament).

It isn't a one-way street, however. Being a Pet Partner automatically means good PR and advertising for your business or work. You always get the highest billing and plugs when we thank our supporters, and we encourage our membership to shop in your stores.

Valley Springs Feed and Pet Supply are acting as a Pet Partner by providing us with free samples of pet food to hand out at our events and to use for our foster animals. Owner Fred Koon and his employees, Dorothy Regusci and Paul Glahn, manage our cat showcage in their store and take good care of the cats/kittens that are up for adoption. In 2002 they helped place over 25% of our foster cats!

What else might a partner do? Put a special Calaveras Humane Societydisplay in a store window? Have their employees volunteer at an Adopt-a-Pet? Designate their donation to support a particular foster parent? Put our banner on their website?

And what else might we do for a partner? Give them our business for whatever products they sell... Honor them at a public event... Advertise them on the website...
