Adopt-A-Pet events provide an opportunity for potential adopters to meet pets in our foster program. Applications for screening are on hand, and CHS volunteers are there to answer questions about particular animals and set up future adoptions. Adopt-A-Pet events also give us the chance to deliver general information about the Calaveras Humane Society, encourage membership, and speak with the public about general animal care issues relevant to our county. We would like to be at county street and craft fairs and other appropriate events; we welcome invitations to those! Please check our events calendar for scheduled dates

The Calaveras Humane Society Adopt-A-Pet Program needs:

• Volunteers to help out at Adopt-A-Pet events. Please contact us if you are interested. There is some minimal training required.
• Portable kennels and cages
• Educational brochures about pet care, etc.
• Booth spaces at local events
• Pet food samples
