Calaveras Humane Society Celebrates Open House for New Office Complex 

San Andreas, Ca.  Calaveras Humane Society supporters county-wide turned out Tuesday night December 12th for a gala open house at the new San Andreas headquarters. Visitors were treated to a great spread of holiday beverages and treats, organized by CHS volunteer Mary Pons. The new office and conference room area, adoption center and the Wags & Purrs pet boutique and thrift store were features of the new office complex.

"This is a big step forward for the Humane Society", said Bob Seiler, CHS President. "We have tremendously increased our visibility in the centralized location and are able to serve the public better with adoptions, spay and neuter certificates, education and retail store full of treasures to be discovered"

  CHS moved into the new space in September and were able to show off the finished product after several weeks of reconfiguration. The new headquarters are located at 576 East St. Charles St. (Highway 49 at the intersection of Mountain Ranch Road). The office is open Monday through Friday from 10 to 4 and the Wags and Purrs retail store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 5.
