Thrift Store Success Continues, Wins Two Awards in Calaveras Enterprise Reader's Choice Awards

Not only are Thrift Store sales and contributions exceeding all expectations, they are keeping their customers happy too!  In the Calaveras Enterprise “Reader’s Choice” awards, the CHS Thrift Store was voted Best Thrift Store and Best Children’s Apparel for 2011.  Congratulations to the Staff, Volunteers, our loyal customers and our generous donors for their part in earning those coveted awards. 

 

June/July/August sales up 57% from last summer and profits were 172% greater!  At the September Board of Directors meeting, president Bob Seiler presented a check to CHS for an additional $10,000 from the Thrift Store.  This is the second $10,000 contribution this year, and is in addition to the regular $3,500 contribution given each month. 

 

To express the Board’s gratitude, a letter was signed by each Board member congratulating the Thrift Store on their awards, their summer sales and profit success and expressing the Board’s full support. 

 

And, we salute the success of the Adoption Center .  Through early September, 43 cats and kittens have found loving forever homes from the center.  Thanks to all the volunteers who work tirelessly waiting for just the right person to walk through that door!
